KALBEMER CURRICULUM ACADEMY 2007 PROGRAM
GOAL: The world and its conditions are changing rapidly. The primary and secondary school curricula changed last year in Turkey . The program does not focus on “memorization” any more. We hope, students will be trained as; “critical thinkers, technology users and team-members” from then on. In order to apply the program successfully, teachers are terribly in need of internalizing the program well and also applying it accurately. The main goal of the Academy is to provide teachers with a detailed and contemporary in-service training not only in Turkey but also in other countries. There are six main groups of courses in this program.
TRAINERS: Under the dynamic leadership and coordination of Dr.Hayal KÖKSAL, the innovative and well-ornamentad KALBEMER team, along with the outstanding experts working at Boğaziçi, Istanbul and Marmara Universities take place in the teaching team. The experts of IAQC assist whenever help is needed.
METHODOLOGY: All the courses start with a brief theoretical summary of the related area and then practical sessions (film, video, ppt presentations, case studies and team work) form the main body of the course. participants are expected to be active during the workshop. The projects are conducted at the participants' school environment with the collaboration of their administrators and so does the supervision.
